The Complaint:
In December of 1987 I took a disability leave from my job at UCLA, because I had developed carpal tunnel syndrome. I was asked to have an outside doctor examine the affected hand. That doctor reported that I did indeed have carpal tunnel syndrome.
UCLA then asked me to see yet another doctor. This second doctor disputed the claim made by the first doctor. UCLA chose to accept the report from the second doctor, and to ignore the report from the first doctor. I had to hire an attorney, in order to get the compensation that I deserved.
