The Complaint:
Read this and you may avoid a rip off worth thousands of $$$!!! Frank is a very pushy salesman. He would come to your house and show you how a 3M Prestige 70 film he is selling would block most of the solar energy. He will show you the "lamp trick", i.e. he will put a special heat lamp behind a regular glass and it would be hot. He would then put the same lamp behind a piece of glass protected by the 3M Prestige 70 film and you wouldn't feel much of that heat. Then he would give you an estimate and bombard you with phone calls every few hours. If you sign up, eventually a couple of older ladies would show up to install... some film (you don't really know which one) on your windows. They would install the film, scribble something in spanish on the invoice (they don't speak a word of English) get paid and leave. And then - SURPRISE! When the sun hits your window - IT IS AS HOT AS IT USED TO BE!!! So you just paid a couple of thousand dollars for... what? Go figure! The film is on, so is the good old heat and all you got from Frank and Miami Dade Window Tinting was a handshake and a "lamp trick", which by the way he is more than happy to repeat to prove his point. It is impressive, all right, but you would never know why the heat is still penetrating your windows as it used to and what exactly those two ladies installed on your glass. Obviously NOT what you hoped to get based on Frank's statements and paid for!!! Stay away from this salesperson, the company and the product!!!
