The Complaint:
Elliot Berman, CPA who is an acCOUNTant failed to count to 15 correctly when he determined the deadline of filing for his publicly traded client and broadcast the erroneous date to respective professionals in writing, which caused an "E" to be added to the symbol of that company. A bad thing it was. Do you think Elliot apologized? No. He proceeded to bring every subsequent filing to the "11th hour", created multiple versions of forms filed and amended (think: excessive filing and accounting fees) and when he was confronted with the comment about poor quality of his services he... quit and threatened to hold all the records hostage until his bills were paid in full. A couple of more things: he never produced an itemized statement with the detailed breakdown of his charges.... he stated that he didn't have any experience preparing a corporate tax return (!!!) even for a company, which had been one month in existence and after making several "settlement agreements" he changed his mind and reneged each and every time...
