The Complaint:
This woman had to end her tenancy at a home in the area, because the courts had ordered her to begin treatment for her addiction to alcohol. When she left the home that she had been renting, she took the dining room table with her. That table had belonged to the home?s owner.
Later she sent the home?s owner a letter. She did not apologize for taking the table. Instead, she asked the homeowner to relieve her of responsibility for paying the rent for the last month of her 6 month contract with the owner.
