The Complaint:
On 8-25-98 I was working as an auditor at UPS, I was 22 yrs old. I had worked there about 1 yrs. A co-worker accidently knocked an 80 lb Micron box into the side of my head, and then it tore my shoulder on its way down. I should have been covered by workman’s comp or my insurance Aetna. My Lawyer Debra Irish cried and said be happy you didn’t die. She told me to file bankruptcy on my medical bills. I made $8/hr and only worked 3 hrs a day, for the insurance. I used to try so hard to understand insurance. Why were all my claims denied? Why were our doctors more expensive than reasonable and customary? I recently saw Michael Moore’s documentary on our health care system. I still have problems with my neck and shoulder.
